The art of making bread is not to be underestimated. Beth, the Bistro’s main baker, is well-practiced in this art, as she has been baking since she was a child.
Her mornings at the Bistro start early with the baking of bread, crème brûlée, and pizza dough.
We’ll share a few tips over the weeks as we start blogging (a great way to bring in the new year), but here’s your first tip: don’t burn the yeast.
As a rule of thumb, if the water is too warm to feed to a baby, then it’s definitely too warm to feed to the yeast, Beth says.
